Obituary of Robert George Brockmann

The family of Robert Brockmann is sad to announce his passing on June 15 2021 at the age of 88. The love of his life was Frieda Dietterle, and from this love came 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He rarely missed Christmas concerts or sporting events. Robert was a farmer first. Everything else came second. He loved his cows, especially the early morning checks at calving time. Some of the best years of his life were when he attended Agricultural School in Vermillion. Anyone who knew Robert, knew he had a great sense of humour and that he never missed an opportunity to “bug” you if he got the chance. Robert was actually a really good athlete too. He was a great pitcher when he played ball. He excelled at discing and floor curling, winning numerous trophies and medals at both. He even liked to waterski, doing so at every opportunity, continuing to waterski well into his late 60’s, maybe even early 70’s, just to prove he was still able. Robert was an avid card player, especially the game of 500, always fun and a challenge for him. Robert and Frieda also enjoyed dancing and spent numerous Saturday nights dancing in Kindersley. Robert and Frieda travelled extensively, and the list of places they had visited was long. Robert is predeceased by his wife (Frieda), his parents (Henry & Freda), and his brother (Fritz). He is survived by son Vernon (Debbie), children Jaired (Maryna), Karson (Kayla) & Landen, son Grant (Keli) and children Damian, Brayden & Tanika, and daughter Deena (Ray), children Stephanie (Kieran) and children Edward & Evangeline, and Melinda (Tyson) and daughter Haylie, as well as brother Rudolf (Margaret) and families and sister-in-law Mavis and families. We will all miss you very much Dad (Grandpa) (Great Grandpa). Restrictions have been lifted, therefore the funeral service is open to the public. Please see below for service details. The recording of the service is now available below. It is on 2 parts. Both are shown below.
