Obituary of Hilda Marie Good

It is with profound sadness, but also much rejoicing that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Hilda Marie Good from her earthly home to her heavenly home. Hilda peacefully passed away on Sunday October 11th, 2020 at the age of 95 years, with her family at her side. Hilda was born to Jake and Ida King on January 6th, 1925 in Tofield Alberta where she was raised on a farm, attended Bardo School, and at the age of 16, started her first job of picking up milk cans and delivering them to Roundhill Dairy. On June 21st 1945, Lloyd and Hilda were married and she moved to the farm at Acadia Valley. It was here that Hilda dedicated her life to raising her children and working alongside her husband. She was an avid gardener and very proud of the vegetables that she happily preserved. Hilda was known for her cooking expertise, her love of entertaining and always had guests over for a Sunday Dinner after church. More recently, she invited all the women living in her condo complex for a Christmas tea, serving all of her Christmas baking. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Her positive energy, passion and commitment to everything that she did was endless. In 1975 Lloyd and Hilda moved to Oyen and she worked at the Oyen Lodge to fulfill her spare time after leaving the farm. After Lloyd passed, Hilda moved to Chinook Village in Medicine Hat and enjoyed the social life that was offered there. Then in 2010, she moved back to Oyen to be closer to her family and lived in a condo where she resided until recently. Throughout her life, Hilda touched countless people and will be sorely missed by family and friends. Hilda leaves to cherish her memory; Daughter Marilyn Lehman and Sons Donald (Mindy) Good and Glenn Good. Grandchildren Nicole Crane, Jamie (Quinn) Wagstaff, Sean Good and Megan Good. Great-Grandchildren Tyrese, Maile, Makai, Hannah, Haylee and Olivia. Hilda was predeceased by her loving husband Lloyd in 1994 as well as her son Dennis in 1981, grandson Ashley Good in 2001, son-in-law Doug Lehman in 2018, brothers Leonard King, Morley King and sister Lola Boyce.
