Obituary of Morley Sarvis

George Edward Morley Sarvis was born to Goldie & May Sarvis on September 3, 1928 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Morley grew up on the family farm in Bindloss with his sisters- Muriel & Edith. Morley’s biggest dream was to get married, so on January 18, 2009 at the age of 80 years, he tied the knot with Elizabeth Goodman who came from Olds, Alberta. She remained with Morley on the farm till September of 2015, until she left to go back to Olds for health reasons. Tragedy struck on September 11, 2017 when a fire came out of the Suffield Block and consumed his land and entire yard. With help from his neighbors he was able to get a room at the Oyen Lodge where he remained till the time of his passing. He loved the wide open spaces and had lived on the family farm for 89 years of his life. Moving to the Lodge was a huge change for him but he adapted quite well. Thank you to everyone who helped him through this transition and to the Staff and Dr. Muller for his excellent care. On September 23, 2020, Morley passed away after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents and sisters. Surviving him are numerous nieces and nephews. Due to COVID regulations, the service is limited to 100 people, and are asked to respect social distancing when possible. Masks will be available for those who wish to wear one.
