This is one of her grandsons I wish I could have known Retha as a grandmother but thanks to Jerry and her hateful cruel family they helped turn her cold and unloving and I will tell you exactly why at her son's funeral Brian Hanson she had all her family upfront exempt for her son's children Rocky and Justin which were just small children at the time but treated as if they weren't anything to the Hanson family. And later on she wrote and gave a card for a few birthdays until she wrote one day I'm sorry Rocky I can't anymore I have so many grandchildren that need me and I just simply don't know you or care to and that explains how ugly inside she truly was. And perhaps it's thanks to Jerry Hanson she became that hateful because he is a user of women and just a drunk and a horrible human being but perhaps it's stems from reatha and how she raised her children to be. This isn't the normal tribute but it's the truth and how she really was with her own grandchildren loving some and being cold to others. Atleast she's hopefully in heaven with her son Brian that's the best we can all hope for but only the good lord knows.

Auntie Reatha was so much fun and laughter! When we visited we always were given ample heapings of great food, laughter, and music. Those great memories will be with me forever and I am very disappointed I am unable to make it to Sedalia to share them in person.

Will miss Reathas smile and laughter. I enjoyed many visits years ago and then again at the Lodge in Oyen. It was a hoot running into mom, Myrtle and Reatha at 4:30pm for a wee drink before supper! Lots of laughs. Love from Joanne, Kevin McBain and family

Condolences to every family member. Reatha was one of a kind. She was a joy to know. She figured out who I was when she was in the lodge and had to have a conversation with me. Dad was there at the time too. She was still fun to be around and I enjoyed the visit. Thanks to Covid rules I didn’t visit again.
